O Christmas Tree

If you all remember back to my last post I tried to help my mom decorate the kids tree at her house.  She then proceeded to re-decorate it after I was done...well this is why.  All I can say is AH-MAZING!

Winter Wonderland

I think my mom secertly works at Santa's workshop cuz she is amazing when it comes to decorating.  While I was up there last weekend I did a virtual tour for all to see how awesome she is.  Nate, this is for you!

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Les' parent's.  It was quite the feast and every bit of it was delicious. Sheila wanted family pictures done so I had our family picture done as well.  I think they turned out great. Les is actually smiling...which if you know my husband it's hard to do.

For some reason Marcia thinks I look like a 14 year old girl with a baby...I dunno.  I like them.

Eden also had a playdate with her new best friend Henry J.  It was a swing date and my child was very honery all night.  I guess it's cuz mom embarasses her in front of Henry and she doesn't like it.  She decided to sleep instead of flirt with Henry but Henry was quite the gentleman and swung with her all night long.

Eden LOVES bathtime and after her bath she loves being wrapped up in her bathrobe to keep warm.  Is she not adorable?!

As always, Friday after Thanksgiving is Christmas candy time.  Those of you who know our family...Christmas candy is a coveted item.  It's the best and my grandma makes TONS of it for our christmas presents.  We are only allowed one tin of candy and this year Marcia was trying to convince her to let us have two...she didn't fall for it but we got our fair share of licking fingers and bowls and test tasting while making it. Eden was such a good girl and layed in front of my grandma's tree while we made candy.

Later that night Tracy and I were still in the holiday spirit and so we cranked up our beloved Donny Osmond Christmas and make some cookies.  Here we are singing while rolling some cookie dough. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

On Sunday Tracy and I helped my mom transform her house into the Winter Wonderland.  If you thought we went all out for Halloween wait till you see my mom's house at christmas.  My mom paid my brother $1.00 for every Christmas box he brought down for her....lets just say it was probably enough to fill up your gas tank!

On a sadder note, one of our precious ornaments retired this year.  It was a little rocking horse we have had as long as I can remember...Well, this year there was no fixing it so it met its demise.  Tracy and I had a little ceremony for it to thank it for all its years of faithful service on our christmas tree.  You will be missed little rocking horse.

My mom put me in charge of decorating the kids' christmas tree...why?...I don't know, cuz after I decorated it she went ahead and re-decorated it.  I thought I had done a pretty good job.  I created depth by placing things deep inside the tree and I kept the bigger ornaments on the bottom to create a triangle effect but to no avail it was re-done.  I guess I still have some years learning the art of decorating a tree from my mother.

I had my mom decorate the bottom half of her christmas tree so I could take some pictures of Eden in her Christmas dress.  About a week ago I was shocked to find out that Eden has almost out grown her 3-6 month clothing and she wasn't even wearing any yet!  So I busted out ALL the 3-6 month clothing and started making her wear a new outfit everyday.  Well, come to find out her christmas dress is 0-3 months so it probably won't even fit her on Christmas so I needed pictures done ASAP.  I didn't have a lot of time to take her picture but I think I got some really good shots anyway.  And besides, it made me do my christmas cards which was something I probably would have put off and ended up not doing so it all worked out.
