Boy Do I Need A Massage!

Have any of you ever had the stress you've been feeling for weeks all of a sudden take home in knots on your shoulders and back? Well, that's how I've been feeling these past couple of days. I've been super stressed out these past couple of weeks and now that everything has worked out I think it resulted in some major back issues that need to be addressed ASAP.

I know I put it on my facebook but I didn't mention it here. At the beginning of this week I got the official letter in the mail stating that I was granted a deferment of acceptance into the University of Southern Nevada Pharmacy School....which means....that I will get to start in the fall of 2010 instead of this fall. I'm so excited that I got the deferment. I was very stressed out about this situation. It's very hard to get into pharmacy school, seeing as there is only 2 in UT (USN having an extension school here in Salt Lake) and it's even harder to get into a 3 year program, but I couldn't make myself accept knowing I would have to start in August and then have a baby in September. The thought of leaving my brand new baby with someone 5 days a week from 8 to 3pm was just something I couldn't imagine doing and on top of trying to breast feed and figure out this whole new mom situation. Well, luckily I talked to the Dean of the School and he was such an awesome guy he offered me a deferment.

With this news I was able to breathe again. Each night I would lay awake trying to figure out how I was going to juggle brand new baby, new mom and still help my sister-in-law watch her little boy. The thought of not accepting made me sick as well. I didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to get a degree that would pay well and let me spend more time with my family (granted I survive the 3 year program). So I'm sooooo gratefuly that all has worked out and that I will have a year off from school to take care of my new little baby. I can't wait for her to come and I can't wait to be a new mom, but most of all I'm grateful that someone up above has been looking out of me and providing a way for me to make all my dreams come true. I'm one lucky girl!

My CRAZY Father!

So for the past week my dad has been in Moab on a biking trip with some of his friends. Well, on the last leg of their journey my dad thought it would be a good idea to crash his bike and get 10 stitches in his head! No big deal! My dad is so hardcore that he forgets he's almost 50! Well, he had to go to the hospital and couldn't finish up his ride (which he was very upset about). He said he wasn't the only one who crashed...he was just the only one who had to visit the hospital. Oh my dear ol' dad.

To make matters worse my mom is so nonchalant about the whole thing it's sickening. When asked how my dad was doing in Moab and if he was okay my mom said something to the effect of "Oh he's good. He's had fun...oh by the way he crashed and got 10 stitches but he's fine." No details, no hint of concern for her husband, just "he's having fun". Oh my mother! They make quite a pair.

Sorry the picture isn't great. He refuses to let us take a picture of his face. He says his friends already got a picture of it right after it happened and that is good enough. Tracy snapped this with her phone so you can't really see the full effect of his crash. I'll try to get more so you all can see how hardcore my father is.

A Sad Day for Jeans

So today I officially can't button my jeans. It's very depressing. These past two days I've been wearing sweat pants all day long (yes...I'm very glamorous) and today I pulled some of my jeans on to go to the doctors and it was a no go! I have definitely popped. As weird as it sounds it's true. Like out of no where I have this gut. I think my stomach muscles finally gave up the fight and can no longer hold that baby in check. So "Belly Band" and hair band trick here I come!

Decisions Decisions

Sorry I've been so behind on my posts but I've been very stressed these past couple of weeks. I found out about a week ago that I was accepted into pharmacy school and I only have 15 days to reply. Well, we are on day 10 and I still don't know what I'm going to do. Pharmacy school starts in August and I'm going to have a baby in September. So I've been trying to decide what I'm going to do with my life...literally. So until this week is over I'll be spending a lot of time doing some soul searching and doing research.

The Nitty Gritty

Okay so everyone has been bugging me to make a follow up to my last post. Apparently, just the picture didn't cut it so here's the details...

• I'm 17 weeks along.
• Due September 21st.
• I find out the sex of the baby the first week in May.
• I don't have any belly shots cuz there's nothing to show. I can still button my pants...but I fear the end to that is rapidly approaching.

The picture you saw was not of my baby...it was just a picture I pulled from the internet. I know, it's weird. I thought it was funny cuz everyone was like "oh it's so cute" and I just laughed cuz it wasn't mine. I haven't had an ultrasound yet so I don't have any pictures. I've only had doppler done each time I go for a check up. So I still haven't seen my baby with my own eyes. I've heard it's heart beat a couple of times so I know it's in there beating away. My doctor says I have a very happy baby. Apparently she can tell just from the heartbeat (or so she says). My doctor is great. Her name is Dr. Cook and she's an OB-GYN at St. Mark's Hospital (where I'll deliver). She's from South Africa and is SUPER nice. I love her. Let's see....what else?

I was SUPER six from the minute I reached 6 weeks. I also go a flu and a cold on top of my sickness so it was not fun. I lost about 15 lbs the first 3 months. Once I got to week 14 I wasn't hugging the toilet three times a day so I was very grateful. All you people who say pregnancy is wonderful are crazy! Pregnancy isn't glamorous what so ever! I find it exhausting to be hungry all the time. If it didn't get ill from not eating I wouldn't eat so much because I hate having to find something to eat every two hours!

I know it sounds like a lot of complaints but Les and I are very excited to be pregnant. We've wanted this for a long time and at one point almost gave up trying. I think someone up above knew I wouldn't be able to handle the disappointment much more so he decided to give me what I wanted so I'm thrilled. We don't have any names picked out yet if it's a boy but if it's a girl her name will be Eden Jade Rose. I've loved that name since before I met Les so he just has to except it plus I'll be the one pushing that sucker out so I figure it's only fair to get to name it what i want. If its a boy...it's up for discussion but in the end I have the final say. So if you have any cute names start firing them off cuz I'm at a loss.

Natalie's Birthday & Early Easter

Yesterday we celebrated Natalie's birthday. We were a little late but that's what happens when you have a family member who has to drive an hour and a half to get to your parent's house. So we just meet once a month to celebrate birthdays. It worked out great since it was conference. We all headed over to my mom's in between the sessions for some lunch and then we watched the afternoon session together. My mom made Natalie an AWESOME cake. I was totally jealous. As you know, birthdays are big deals in our family and this was no exception.

She got the idea from a book from the blog Bakerella called Hello, Cupcake. That book is awesome. We told her she needs to give it to all of us for Easter.

After we watched the 2nd half of conference my mom put on the Annual Hutchison Easter Egg Hunt. We did a week early since Les and I wouldn't be up for Easter. Les hid all the eggs and did a great job. We had a blast finding them and as Hutchison tradition goes it was VERY intense. My mom hide $100 and there were 4 bonus eggs that had $5 each. So the hunt was on!

This is us running out the front door. Literally running! It was great. We were pushing and shoving...the whole nine yards. Fingers were stepped on, eggs were swipped out right from under you.... good stuff! I was the winner and found 3 of the 4 bonus eggs but Natalie found the most eggs all together. Man Easter is fun with my family!

Natalie got some awesome gifts too (beside her totally awesome cake). Marcia gave her money to get some shorts for summer. They were "suppose" to go shopping together but Natalie bailed on Marcia and went herself. Just Natalie being herself. My mom got her that book from Bakerella I was talking about and I got her a totally awesome gift too. This is her face when she opened my gift...

Spring Break...a little late

Okay so I've had this pictures on my camera for a while now I just haven't had time to upload them to my computer but I finally did so here's an update! For spring break I went to St. George with my sister-in-law's family for a baseball tournament. We stayed in aunt's summer house. It's this really old house downtown in historical St. George. It's only a block away from Brigham Young's winter home.

My little nephew Brittan (who is 7) had a hard time adjusting to this old house. He was very nervous about everything. The showers where funny, the ceilings were low and it smelled like an old house. He had a really hard time going to sleep the first night and we couldn't figure out why...then he told us that the doors scared him because burglers could see through them. Julie and I didn't have a clue what he was talking about until he took my camera the next day and took these pictures.


He thought the burglers would be able to sneak in and watch him while he was sleeping. He was very upset by this and just couldn't sleep. Well, the next day he decided that since the house creaked so much he would be able to hear a burgler from a mile away so he felt better about sleeping in the house.

One day while we were waiting for the baseball games to start we walked over to Brigham Young's winter house and took a tour. It was very neat. I loved all the chandeliers so I had to take pictures, plus I thought his bed was pretty cool. He said he didn't need a "whole" canopy so they just built a half. That made me laugh.




The weather was great and it was fun watching Brayden play some ball. It felt so good just to sit in the sun and soak up the heat. Before we left for St. George, Julie and I got our toes done and I thought they were very cute


Bronson had a blast being outside. He was loving it. We always packed a cooler FULL of food... and I mean FULL. Well, at one of the games Bronson walked over to the bag of food grabbed a banana and went to his chair to enjoy it. I just thought it was so funny to see him sitting in his big kid chair chopping on his banana.


Bronson is definately Chad's child. He LOVES baseball. He just wanted to be where ever the ball players were. One day while they were warming up before the game Bronson decided that he wanted to practice with them so he picked up a bat and headed for the tee. The boys stopped for a minute so Bronson could take a swing. It was very cute!


St. George was great and I can't wait to go back. I love it there. Blast this cold weather I'm dealing with. Bring on Spring!
