House Full of Grads...Ode to Tracy!

So our family has been WAY busy the past two months. We've had graduations galor! First, Nate graduated from WSU at the first of May and then two weeks ago my little brother graduated from Basic Training....Go Tyson! And now Tracy is officially a high school graduate! Weird!! My mom now has 6 adults! Now to my Ode to Tracy...

It's official. Her name was in the program.

We were having major camera issues that day. Marcia's new camera ran out of batteries...my camera wouldn't focus...and Natalie never shares any of the pictures she takes (go figure) So Tracy's graduation pictures are a scattered about on different cameras. Here are the pictures I have.

Here is a picture of tracy with her AWESOME cap that we took with Marcia's camera and then with mine...notice the issue? We were pretty excited that she decorated her cap that so we could pick her out of the crowd.

Here she is making her walk of fame...we totally stood up and screamed! We got the chest pump and pointer...so we were pretty sure she didn't miss us in all our glory... Speaking of awesomeness here are some pictures of the Rad Trad the Grad Club Members


Little Ever was the President


Brennen and Bennett were the Vice Presidents and the rest of us were Club Members. We were pretty much the coolest people there. We got plenty of compliments from everyone. If I remember correctly I heard someone say "Man..that Trad person sure is lucky to have such a cool family!"...I might have just thought i heard someone say that but none the less...

As you might have guessed by now I have access to A LOT of cardboard. So I made these awesome letters to hold up when Tracy got her diploma. It was freaking awesome. Everyone around us laughed. Tracy's friend even said "Holy cow tracy that spells out your name!" (true story) I think we made our point!

After the big ceremony we went to my parent's for a BBQ. Here's the awesome display my mom and I made for Tracy.

You can't really tell but the table is covered in Hersey's Kisses and on the bottom of each on it says Tracy's name with a graduation cap. My aunt Kathy made these for Tracy... awesomeness must run in ALL the Hutchison genes.

Me, Natalie and my mom even made these sweet little graduation hats. We got the idea from Bakerella....man that woman is a genius!

Someone Get This Kiddy a Pool

Today Bronson and I were dying in the heat playing outside so I decided to make him his very own kiddy pool. He was loving life! Talk about making do with what ya got. I'm the Roses' very own Martha Stewart!

When Awesome Calls...I Answer!

Yesterday was Bronson's 2nd birthday. I can't believe that it's been 2 years already! Time has flown by. Here's a little recap of how much he's changed in just 2 years...

His mom brought home birthday stickers and he immediately put those stickers all over his body. I thought it was hilarious so I took a picture. AND NOW FOR AWESOMENESS...


I totally made this cake from scratch! I even made homemade vanilla frosting. I pretty much carved this free hand. I went off the Blues Clues dog cuz it seemed like something easy enough for me to copy. So here it is in all it's glory! When my mom gave us the Hello, Cupcake book for Mother's day she told us she expected greatness from us from now on...well, I think I stepped up to the plate. The cake was soooo good. My nephews kept telling me that they wanted ME to make their cake for their birthday...Man I'm an awesome aunt!

He ate about two bites with his fork and then he looked around to see if anyone was watching and then he dove in double fisting it till it was gone. He was in heaven! Grandma and Grandpa came over for the festivties and it was lots of fun to watch him soak up all the attention. The past two years have been so much fun watching Bronson each day and seeing him grown up. Happy Birthday Bronson!

Nursery

So I've been trying to collect things for the baby's nursery because I have this urge to get things ready. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and got the cutest letters for like $4 and some super cute flowers I'm going to paint for like $2. I heart Hobby Lobby. I was stoked to walk out of there with half the stuff I needed for the nursery for under $10. My wonderful Mother-in-law even bought me a way awesome crib so I'm half way done already! I haven't gotten it yet but here is a picture of it.


Here is a picture of the bedding I've been keeping my eye one. It's kind of pricey so I'm saving my money. The hard thing about the bedding is that they baby will be sharing a room with Les and I (the joy of living in a unfinished basement) and she will have her own little alcove if you will so I want it to match the rest of our room. Basically my whole house was decorated in black, gray and red before we moved....I just can't seem to venture beyond these colors. Anywho, I love this bedding and it goes perfectly with everything else.

I know this picture is kind of hard to see so here's a close up of what it looks like.

I have a ton of ideas of what I want to do with her alcove and so as soon as I get the bedding and can match the red it's game on. Once I get the crib set up and some things on the walls I will definitely post some pictures...I just wanted to give you all a sneak peak because I'm super excited to get started.

Mother's Day

This weekend Les and I headed to Ogden on Saturday to have an afternoon BBQ with the fam. We also celebrated Mother's Day with my mom that day since both Christy and I would be with the in-laws on Sunday. For the BBQ I was in charge of dessert and I made 2 delectable mud pies. I was very proud of myself and they tasted great too! Man...my motherly instincts are coming out full force!

I made a Pralines 'n Cream Mud Pie and a Mint Chocolate Chip Mud Pie...delic!

My mom got some awesome gifts. Christy gave her a custom made mousepad. Here is what it looked liked.

She also go a cupcake holder from Natalie and a Shark mop from my dad, Marcia, and I.

Going with the theme of "Go Big or Go Home", I made my mom this AWESOME card. It even opened up to a wonderful, loving message. I think it stepped it up a notch from Nate's graduation card. What do you think?

My mom gave all us girls these too. I was totally excited. I think I could begin to like this whole mom thing...

Later that day Marcia and I helped my mom make these cute little treats for her nursery class. She was going to give them to the little kids to give to their mom's on Sunday. I think they turned out very cute! We Hutchison's are so crafty!

Tracy found these glasses and gave them to Ever. She thought she was very cool. Here are some pictures of her struting her stuff!

All in all it was a fun weekend. I had a great 1st Mother's day. I have probably the coolest mom alive and I'm so lucky to have her. She's the best. Craziness and all...I wouldn't trade my mom for the world!

Such A Long Post...Soo Much to Say

I never got to post some easter pictures I've had on my camera so I'm doing it now. The Saturday before Easter my grandma's side of the family had a big easter egg hunt in Alpine. So this year we took the grandkids to join in the festivities.

Here is brennen totally excited to have a jello egg!

We cooked some hotdogs over the fire for lunch...the only way to eat a hotdog might I had.

Here are the parents hiding the eggs for the hunt. There were like 20 kids there so there were a lot of eggs to hide.

Here is Christy hiding some eggs. You can't really see but that tree has like 30 eggs on it. It looked like a christmas tree covered in eggs. It was awesome!

Bennett found this ball and was done easter egg hunting. All he wanted was the ball.

Here are some pictures of the Roses on Easter sunday...they mostly are of Bronson cuz he was so excited to go find the "balls" outside. If it resembles a ball shape at all that's what it is...a ball.

Isn't he so cute? It was so funny to watch him try to walk around with that huge basket picking up all the balls he could find.

Now, to shift gears a little bits...here's what I did this weekend....

This past weekend I went up to Ogden to spend some quality time with the fam. On Thursday night we were playing games with Brennen and things got a little out of hand. My dad, Marcia, and Tracy were throwing footballs into a net trying to see who made the most shots. Brennen was ball boy and would retrieve the balls and throw them to the three lazys sitting across the room.

Here he is trying to throw it to Marcia without Tracy blocking it. He thought it was hillarious, but made sure everyone got a turn. He would even go take a ball from Tracy if it was suppose to go to Marcia. He's so funny!


On Friday my awesome little sister Natalie graduated from Weber State. The whole family went to support her on her big day. She was pretty proud...you can ask her yourself. She still keeps reminding us she's done with school.

It's a book called "The Dangerous Book for Boys" because as most of you know, Natalie is like a 12 year old boy. She like to make things and destroy things. This book tells her how to do it all. Apparently all boys know about this book so I only found it fitting to get to one too.

So everyone's been asking me for a belly shot but there still isn't much to show. I'm in the fat stage and I feel like I have to clarify this to everyone by saying..."I'm not fat I'm just pregnant." But here is a picture none the less.
