Founder's Day Weekend

So I went to Ogden again this weekend (much to my husband's dismay) and celebrated Founder's Day.  We Hutchison's celebrate Founder's Day rather than the 4th of July.  This weekend was jammed packed full of activities..so much so that I forgot to bust out the camera in most cases but I did get a few.

Friday:

Eden had a doctor's appointment in the morning for her 9 month check up. Here are her stats:

Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz 70%

Height: 28 in 70%

My daughter is no longer the giant I thought she was.  She has been then the 95% until now.  Her weight and height is dropping off but I still think she's huge...

After the doctor's appointment we headed straight to ogden and it was off the the North Ogden Aquatics Center.  That place was a MADHOUSE!  It was packed! I didnt' take any pictures because I was too busy trying to keep my eyes on the kids.  It was Me, Tracy and my mom with 4 kids.  This should never be done people.  You need to have an adult to every child at a crazy pool.  At one point I took Eden to the deep end and unbeknown to me Brennen decided to follow me.  Apparently Tracy was yelling my name to let me know that Brennen was following me but I couldn't hear her.  The next thing I know I turn around and see Brennen gulping water trying to swim.  I race to him and picked him up just in the knick of time....needless to say, we won't be going to that crazy pool anytime soon. 

Once we recovered from the swimming we headed to my dad's work for an open house.  We were going to take a tour of the plant but Tracy and I got stuck outside with the kiddos and my dad wasn't able to give us two a tour before he had to go to work....so pretty much Tracy and I were trying to wrangle 3 kids and again, no pictures were taken. 

Saturday:

Started the day off at the Founder's Day Parade..ya!  We love this parade.

Right after the parade we went to Walker Theater in Willard and watch Toy Story 3 except that child decided that she wanted to be a demon and FREAK out.  So I pretty much kicked it in the lobby. What I saw of the movie I liked but I am going to have to go see it again.

After a short nap we headed BACK to my dad's work to get the tour we missed out on the day before and this time I brought my camera.

After the Kimberly-Clark tour we went home and ate again at our neighbor's house.  The Barretts alway feed us and we love them for it.  After some relaxing and yet another nap we made some caramel popcorn and enjoyed the Founder's day fireworks.  Eden was alseep before the fireworks started and I just happen to check on her right as the first one went off.  Well, I have never seen Eden jump so high straight out of sleep.  I was glad I was there cuz she leaped into my arms and started crying.  Once I took her outside to show her what the noise was she became memormized and throughly enjoyed herself. 

Anyway, it was a fun filled weekend as always...love me some Founder's Day!

Bathing Beauty and Nine Months Old!

So what have Eden and I been doing with our days?! Oh, just a little of this!

they really are friends...

So today my baby has officially been out of my belly as long as she was in.  I still can't belive it.  I look at her each day and think "where is my little baby?!"  I love Eden more and more each day.  She cracks me up.  Even though sometimes I think and occasionally say out loud "I don't want to be your mom right now!" I can't think of my life without her.  She's is my everything.  Love her!  So, what will I remember about Eden at this age?  lets see...

She's still a rolling machine...she has no desire to learn to crawl.  She just rolls where she wants to go.  She also loves to walk around in her walker.  Our new house has all hardwood floors and she loves to chase Dixie in her walker.  It terrifies Dixie but Eden just busts up. She thinks it hilarious!

Eden loves her dog.  She wants to be by Dixie or within eye shot at all times.  She loves to pound on her. (she thinks it's petting but it more like hitting...we are still learning.)

Eden loves to play peek-a-boo.  Every morning while I put in my contacts she sits on the bathroom floor and hides behind the shower curtain.  When I ask where Eden went, it takes her about 2 mins before she can get the shower curtain off her face but she just giggles the whole time and then busts out laughing once it finally comes off.

Eden loves to look at herself in the mirror.  In the morning when I'm not ready to get out of bed I put her on my floor (next to the bed and within arms reach) and she plays with her toys, but every few minutes or so she find herself in the mirror and smiles or laughs.  It cracks me up...she's so vain. Also, if you aren't paying attention to her she will actually lean forward to get you to look at her.  It's the funniest thing ever.  She will stop what she's doing and LEAN forward until she catches your eye....it's all about her!

Some other stuff Eden can do:

*Clap her hands - she loves to clap her hands.  she will alway clap at you to get your attention or let you know she thinks whatever you just did was good.

*Waves bye-bye - no longer the Hilter wave, but she usually waves at herself or does a full on arm swing in one direction...but you get the idea

*She still loves her mamma but is getting better with strangers

*L.O.V.E.S. to swim.  Every time she's in the water her arms and legs don't stop moving.  She just wants to move around...which would be more helpful if she would learn to crawl!

*constantly is blowing raspberries (action shot).  All.the.time.  It doesn't matter if I'm trying to feed her, change her diaper, give her kisses...she just loves to spit in your face...secretly, I think it's her way of protesting...but it's darn cute!

Well, Miss Eden, mamma loves you SO much and loves spending everyday with you, but could you stop growing up so fast...it makes me sad.  Love you billions!

What a Weekend!

So this past weekend I was SUPPOSED to go to Lake Powell for a vacation and of course it got canceled...I was feeling a lot of rage due to my shopping experience (as previously posted) and with the addition of the canceled vacation, I need to get out so I headed to Ogden...(of course) and took a weekend to relax. 

I had to post of picture of this because I think it's hilarious..this is how Eden gives me kisses (please disregard the no make-up).  It's a full on, open mouth kiss that covers half of my face.  She then finishes it off by rubbing it in by shaking her face side to side.  Love this little girl!

Tracy came down to go to Lake Powell but then just hung out at my house for a couple of days and helped me unpack my house.  Let me tell you...this sister of mine is AWESOME!  I put her to work every time she comes down...but I feed her well so it all evens out in the end.

Our first stop in Ogden was to Marcia's house to make my dad his Father's day gift.  We decided to go for a garden paver with all the grandkids handprints on it.  Since all the kiddos were there we had a little photo shoot to boot. Here are the 3 babies

Friday night we had a fire and had ourselves some smores...that's how we do, what we do!

and OF COURSE I let my 9 month old baby have her first marshmallow...ya I'm awesome like that!

She loves every single bite!

Saturday, the temperature decided to be nice so we busted out the swimming pool.  This is how Ever rocked it!

Eden was napping while the big kids swam but once she woke up I busted out the swimsuit and let her have it...She, of course, loves water and had herself I right nice time!

Sunday morning I was back in Salt Lake to do my wifely duties and made Les his first ever Father's Day Breakfast...I made him his favorite...meat, meat, and more meat.  That's bacon, sasauge, ham, potatoes and waffles...all of my husband's food groups. 

Eden even made him a present.  It wasn't dry in time to paint it, but it was the best we could do.

I wasn't able to see my dad on Father's day but I must say I have the best dad ever!  He's pretty much the coolest, baddest, hard core dad/pa around!

"Please don't talk to me now..."

Oh the day I've had.  Not only am I trying to unpack  boxes so that my house isn't just a maze of them, I woke up this morning STARVING without a scrap of food in my house....so off Eden and I went to the WinCo down the street.

I really wish someone would have told me to never go there alone....here's what happened.

I get to the checkout...cart, COMPLETELY full. I just moved in...I have nothing...no condiments or ANYTHING.  so I proceed to checkout....

I then find out that I have to bag my own groceries...really?!  Why did no one tell me this?  At this point Eden decides that she's exhausted (I mean we just spent an hour filling our grocery cart) and wants me to hold her...which I can not...I have to bag my groceries...so she screams...and Screams and SCREAMS. 

Then while I'm rapidily trying to bag my groceries, I'm informed that WinCo doesn't except credit cards...only cash or debit...honestly people?!  I don't have any money on my debit card...I'm trying to move into a house!  So I have to make a phone call to the bank...

So here I am, baby screaming, on the phone transfering money, trying to bag my groceries all while trying to avoid the stares and pity glances coming from the line of people behind me....shoot me! 

Won't be doing that again anytime soon...oh to top it off.  Somewhere in the mist of the chaos I lost a pair of $200 sunglasses from off my head and I'm pretty sure whoever stubbled upon them thought there day was starting to look up, cuz mine definately was noe....of course I called the lost and found and they aren't there...double crap. 

On the way out to my car a bag of chips falls out of my cart and under the wheel they go and...BAM they explode sending chips everywhere.  Well, that's a waste of $2.  After I load the car with groceries and screaming baby and try to get my blood pressure down, my dear husband decides now would be a good time to call and ask me a favor...that's as far as I let him get before I said "Please don't talk to me now, I'll call you later."  click. goodbye.

I was doing him a favor really.  Who knows what would have come out of my mouth if I decided to talk to him at that moment.  I went home, put Eden to sleep, and ate a bowl of Cap'n Crunch Berries...with food in my belly and a sleep baby I think I'll tackle the boxes...maybe

May/June Update

Baby Shower May 8th:

Marcia, Megan and I threw a shower for our dear friend Reta.  She was in town from Canada and so we pulled out all the stops to show her a good time.

we had fun decorating...what's a party without a theme?  The theme was her nursery colors...

because I love Reta she got..not one, but TWO diaper cakes.  Plus, Marcia and I made all the bows that went on them....I must say, we know how to throw a party!

Mother's Day, May 9th:

for mother's day I decided to make some cards...I thought they turned out pretty great, if I do say so myself!

we had a good old fashion Turkery dinner for my mom

we even busted out the 1st ever kids' table..which, by the way, was a COMPLETE failure.  Kids were running amuck...no one would stay seated...we may need to try it again in a few years.

besides the wild children...the food was delic! 

Here is my grandma with her Mother's day present.  My mom made her some eggs.  She like hollows them out and then dyes them.  I wish I had a picture of my grandma's face.  She was completely shocked.  I've never seen her more shocked or excited in my life.  We were all laughing because she just couldn't believe my mom made her a dozen eggs..

these eggs take FOREVER to make but when grandma actually says she likes something...you jump on it!

After dinner 4-wheeler rides were in order and the kiddies L.O.V.E.D. them.  Nothing beats riding around behind Pa.

For Mother's day Marcia, Tracy and I decided to make over the play from for my mom.  Here are some before and after pictures.

we had to come up with a design the worked well with green carpet...I know, seriously?

This is the main wall we did....I think it turned out awsome!

We painted the whole room a dark tan and then did this accent wall.  The frames will eventually get pictures in them...it's a work in progress. The chocolate brown is actually chalkboard...VERY cool.

This is where the grandkids can hang the pictures they draw for grandma and pa....I just wanted to add that Tracy did nothing...so this is all Me and Marcia...minus the help we got from Kurt

On Sunday we headed up to the cabin to celebrate with Les' mom.  For some reason I didn't take a single pictures of the festivities but I did get some cute pictures of Eden

Ogden Weekend June 3rd:

This past weekend I went up to Ogden to spend some time with the fam...Marcia had a baby and Christy blessed Jaxton, but mostly I just relaxed...

So it was Daniel Barrett's birthday and it turns out "awsome" was Amy Barrett inlisting my help with her dad's bday cake...

let's just say I did it again!

Jaxton's Blessing, June 6th:

On Sunday Christy blessed her new little boy.  It was a very nice blessing....let me just say that Mr. Jaxton is HUGE.  I thought Eden was huge but this is one big boy!
