Makin' Candy

I went up to my mom's to make candy with my sisters. We were making candy for friends and neighbors. Last year everyone in my neighborhood gave us something for the holidays and I had nothing to give back. This year I wanted to be on top of it.

We gave Brennen a spoon of carmel and the kid went to town. He was "mmmm" so loud. It was hillarious!

No one could get that spoon out of the kids hand. He wasn't done until he said he was done.

Here are the sugar cookies I made at home to pass out to neighboors as well. I tried to get Les involved so it would really be from both of us...

Can you tell which cookies Les frosted? Well, maybe next year I won't have him help...

Les's Big 3-0

DECEMBER 9, 2007

Les turned 30 this year....I know very old! Since Les doesn't like his birthday to be a big deal (unlike me) I made it a big deal. I covered the entire house with the number 30.

Here's our kitchen table....I'm very crafty

for Les's birthday I made him breakfast...bacon, eggs, sasage, hashbrowns and french toast! What a wonderful wife I am.

All he wanted for his birthday was to be able to sit in his "man room" and watch football all day. So I got his "man room" all set up so that he didn't even have to leave his reclinder. That cooler was filled to the top with cans of Pespi and ice.

I only made him leave his chair once to open his birthday presents. That of course was after the Steelers had played...you don't mess with Les and the Steelers...ask my family. My grandma was having December birthday dinners at her house that day and we were the guests of honor but we didn't even show up because it interfered with Les's birthday request....sorry grandma!

As you can see I don't have any pictures from my birthday...that's because I didn't do anything on my birthday. Les assumed that the family party we had the day before was celebrating my birthday....BIG MISTAKE...needless to day I don't think my birthday will go without celebrating agin...

Christmas for the Soilders

DECEMBER 1, 2007
For Christmas this year my family decided to make care packages for the soilders rather than exchange gifts with each other. We sent them to Robert's brother who is Iraq and his unit.

The whole family got into it...even my uncle Randy. He was in charge of boxes and shipping.

This is the most work my dad did. Once he got home Brennen kept him very occupied but out of the way. It was probably for the best.

We sent the soilders some of our famous christmas candy. We make marshmallow balls. Basically, it's a marshmallow dipped in carmel and then rolled in rice krispies. Very yummy!

We also sent each of the soilders a personnal christmas card thanking them for their service and telling them we wish them the best and pray for the...I know, we as a family, are incredible!

We even had the baby Jesus laying under the manger with us as well worked (okay it's really Bennett but we laughed when we saw it). It really filled the home with the Christmas Spirit.

Birthdays and a Blessing

On Sunday little Bronson was finally blessed in sacrament. I dragged (literally) Les with me to church to support the family. It was a really great blessing and Chad (Bronson's dad) bore his testimony. It was really sweet. It made everyone cry. Here are some pictures of the big guy on this day. *Note* Bronson was 7 months old

This was his surprised look. The flash scared him a little. Isn't he adorable? After the blessing my family came down to SLC to celebrate Les and my birthday.

We had the traditional Hutchison Mexican Meal...enchiladas, gaucamole, mexican rice...the whole sha-bang. When we do it, we do it big.

Natalie wasted no time to make herself a lunch for the next day. We were at Chad & Julie's house and she STILL felt inclined to make herself a lunch. It's her signature move...Hurry and pack a lunch before everyone is done eating so that it won't be all gone....oh Natalie

It's Coming...It's Coming...

I was planning on updating my blog today and I started by taking down the Christmas decor but that took WAY longer than expected and now I have to go to class. Tomorrow....I hope

I'm a Slacker

I've been a slacker but I promise you I'll update the blog this weekend and fill you in on my month of December. I start school on the 7th and so I will have it done before then otherwise it might not get done. Sorry for the delay...I know who you all just can't wait to see my blog updated!
