CAREFUL: It's a Jungle Out There!

So this weekend, rather than relaxing...my husband and I spent the weekend tackling this...

yes, that is our backyard. It was OUT.OF.CONTROL. waist high people...waist high!

Here is Dixie trying to find her away around.  I took this picture up on the porch...otherwise you couldn't see her....just the track marks she left.

Needless to say, it took quite some time getting this bad boy under control.  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, full of relaxation and family fun.  Next year I hope to do the same.

A Day at the Pool

Today at swimming lesson while I was changing Eden into her swimsuit there were a few kids in the pool SCREAMING and she was giving them this look.

I can just picture her saying...."I am NOT getting in the pool with those kids!"...she cracks me up.

On another note...Eden can now clap her hands.  She used to clap with one hand and one fist..she now knows how to clap with both hands. LOVE HER!

My Little Girl via the cell phone

So still no camera but I decided to take some with my cell phone so I could do a little post about my sweet baby.  I LOVE this age.  Eden is definately getting her own personality and she cracks me up.  I think she takes after her father in a lot of ways...she's goofy and out of control and I love her pieces!

Here are some of the things I will remember about Eden at this age:

Eden LOVES to read

Eden can now drink from a sippy cup

She's acutally pretty good at it

This is what happens after she takes a drink...about half of it end up down her shirt

Mostly, she loves to bang her sippy cup around

she finds great joy in doing it...

that is, of course, until I take it away (don't worry I gave it back!)

Eden REALLY loves to drink out of a big cup...

she's really good at this too

she drinks every last drop (minus what ended up on her shirt)

She feels so big every time she takes a drink and stops to smile about it in between sips

Eden LOVES to eat anything and everything. 

She likes to RIP things out of my hand and immediately shove it in her mouth and then she laughs at me when I look at her and say "HEY!!"

This is her favorite place to eat...on my couch!  Look at that mess!  She's a TV junkie...just like her dad!

Eden STILL has MAJOR seperation anxiety.  Yes, this is her on the bathroom floor while I go to the bathroom.  I seriously can't leave her or she'll scream her guts out! You saw that face when I took her sippy cup away....what's a mom to do?  Look how happy she is to be near me all.the.time!

This is my new favorite thing Eden can now do...

It gives me 5 mintues to get something done...

notice her blurry legs?  They never stop moving.  When I'm feeding her they are either on my shoulder or literally on my face.  I haven't been able to capture on camera yet but, believe me they are ALL over the place!

sometimes when she is feeding herself she thinks its a good idea to roll over...that is until her bottle falls out.  She then proceeds to scream until I roll her back over and pop her bottle back in...she's a little high maintanence.

Other things Eden can do:

*She can shake her head "no, no, no" especially when I lay her down to nap

*She LOVES to blow raspberries when I try and feed her.  Rather than eat she will lay there and blow raspberries on my arm, chest and any other skin showing.  She thinks it HILARIOUS and I do too...most of the time.

*She's starting to wave bye-bye...for now it mostly looks like a Hitler wave..but we are getting closer

*She has started scooting up on her knees.  This usually ends in a face plant.  Crawling is right around the corner but for now I'm perfectly find with her being immoblie.

Eden, mommy loves you SO much.  I think you are the sweetest, cutest little thing ever!  Love you to pieces!

8 Months and She Won't Stop!

This cute girl is 8 months old today?! I can't believe it!  I keep telling myself "I swear I just had her..." She's so big and I love her to death.  I will post more later...gotta a screaming 3 year old and baby to attend to!

Bronson is 3!

Okay so I've really been wanting to blog but I left my camera in Ogden at my mom's house and so I have no pictures to accompany my blog...and well, lets face it. Reading blogs are more fun when they have pictures. So...I stole my sister-in-law's camera to blog out Mr. Bronson's 3rd Birthday.

Pretty much I've been watching this cute kid since the day he came home from the hospital.  I still watch him once a week and I claim him as my own.  He taught me all I needed to know for when Miss Eden arrived....I was a pro mommy by then.  Well, I love him to pieces and I can't believe that 3 years ago this little miracle came into my life. 

For his birthday we had a Thomas theme..and as previously blogged I was in charge of the cake...or should I say MASTERPIECE!

This is how we kept the kids entertained when they woke up from their nap.  Aunt Jody gave Bronson an awesome Harley trike that he LOVES and grandma gave Eden this walker.

Um...Awesome Called and I answered...yet again

Today I came to work unshowered, no make-up on, hair in a nappy ponytail, fingers covered in food dye and stomach growling from not eating all day because I created this....

yes people, that is all cake and it took me ALL day, but it was worth it to see a little boys face, with sleep still in his eyes say "WWOOOWWW! Sank you soo much Marie.  I wove it!"  Melts my heart.

I will blog more about this when the party is over....so much to blog about...where did all my time go?
