Who is Who?

My cousin Sara just sent me this picture. She was in Texas for a week and while she was there she was looking through the old photos my grandma has and she found this one....um can you say clone?!

So the little sis turns the big 23 today. I decided to post some "Classic Nate" pictures up in commemoration of her big day (mind you I'm embarrassing myself in a few!). I'm going to keep scouting my computer and see if I can find some more, but these pictures give a pretty good representation.

Come on People...SERIOUSLY?!!!

So I just got back from St. George to find snow! Are you kidding me? I have a sunburn and there is snow outside. Where are you spring?! Now on to a more serious matter.


One night while Julie and I were trying to find something to do and we remembered that Twilight just came out on video. Well, neither one of us had seen it in the theater so we hopped on over to Target and picked ourselves up a copy.

Can I just say....WORST MOVIE EVER! Oh my, it was terrible! Bad acting, bad filming, bad writing. Just overall bad. Julie and I contemplated turning it off a few times. If you hadn't read the book, you would be so confused. I don't think the movie would have made sense. One minute they are talking in Edward's room and the next minute he's scaling a tree....so bad!

Don't even get me started on Edward. GROSS! He is not attractive at all! Everyone kept saying "oh he grows on you..." One- I don't want Edward to grow on me and Two- he looks like an alien. His nose is all smooshed to his head and his forehead is huge! I felt like he kept trying to be dangerous and mysterious but it just came off as weird and trying too hard. He completely ruined my vision of Edward. I came home and started to re-read the books because I needed to rekindle my love for Edward again...

Here is my vision of Edward... yummy. Sexy, dangerous and gorgeous all without trying or gobs of makeup on.

And how weird was the sunlight scene? They didn't even do a good job. In the book it talks about how he glowed like a star or something. In the movie you could hardly even tell a change in his skin. Julie and I had to pause it and get really close the the TV to see what it looked it. Just bad! They didn't really explain any of his powers either...I found it all every confusing.

Oh and Rosaline...she wasn't even that pretty. I mean she was pretty enough but not really. She's suppose to be drop dead gorgeous and she wasn't. Here's more what I pictured Rosaline looking like:

I think they did an overall bad casting job except with Bella and Emmett. And you can't really screw up Emmett he's just a big, muscly, football looking person. Charlie was okay and so was Jacob but the others were BAD!

Now mind you...I went into watching this movie with very low expectations but I had a hard time watching it all the way through. I just couldn't get over how awkward the movie was. So... let's hope that since this one was so popular (I don't know why...) that they will have a bigger budget for movies 2 and 3 because... WOW what a waste of $18.

Hello Spring Break!

For the next 5 days I'll be enjoying the weather in sunny St. George. I'm totally stoked. My nephew has a baseball tournament down there and the whole family is going and I get to tag along. I love St. George. It's my 2nd home. I always feel myself becoming a little bit calmer when I enter the city. It's just the effect St. George has on me. So... see ya later and hello 80 degree weather!

The Time has Come...

Okay so I've been toying around with this idea for quite some time and I've finally decided that I'm going private. I know a lot of people have their reason why, but I just want to be a little more careful about what I'm putting out there for all to see... SO I'll be going private starting April 1st. And no, it's not an April Fool's joke. So if you want to stay updated on my blog just leave your email and I'll be sure to put you on the list. Even if you don't have a blog leave me your email so you can still look at mine. I have made it so the comments won't show so there's no need to worry about giving your email to the world. Hopefully, you'll all still want to keep up on what's going on.

What a Week!

I would like you all to meet my new best friend...For the past week I have had THE WORST stomach flu ever! I've never been so sick in my life. Everyone here at the house caught the stomach flu. It started with Bronson and then spread like wildfire to the rest of us and with each person got it worse and worse. I unfortunately was the last one to get it (go figure) and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I've never spend so much time hugging a toilet. I didn't eat a single thing for 4 days. I looked like the walking dead and I felt like it too! Les was getting a little concerned about my well-being and so on Friday his friend Rusty came over and gave me a blessing. Later that day I was feeling tons better and today I feel as good as new. Thank heavens for priesthood blessings!

On a totally different note, my interview on Tuesday went well besides the fact that I was as sick as a dog, but I think I faked it pretty good. I felt pretty prepared for all the questions and I think the three people interviewing me liked me so keep your fingers crossed! I won't find out for sure until May. They will either call me with an invitation to go there or I'll get a letter in the mail sometime in May that lets me know if I'm in, on a waiting list, or denied. So now it's just another waiting game.

So all in all I'd say I had a pretty crappy week but things are looking up especially since I don't feel like hanging out in the bathroom all day. I hope you all have a great week!

Movie Night and a Baby Shower

So on Friday night I headed up to my Grandma Lola's house for some of her world famous caramel popcorn and a movie night. All my sisters came over (except Marcia...who ditched us) and we watched a movie with my grandma and aunt Jilene.

We watched a Hallmark Movie Special about a Jewish girl whose husband dies and then she is forced to marry her husband's brother. The best part was, a it was a VHS of movie recorded off of my aunt's friend's TV. So it was a movie of a movie. The lady apparently recorded it on her DVR so we got to watch all the commercials in fast forward. To top it off my grandma's TV was not liking the VHS so we had major tracking problems thorughout the whole movie. It was a good laugh. My aunt Jilene just couldn't get over how "handsome" the guy in the movie was. Every time it showed his face she either sighed or make some comment. I asked her once if she wanted us to pause it and give her a minute....it was a fun night and we laughed alot.

Saturday morning Marcia, Tracy and I went to our friend Ashley's baby shower. She having a little girl on St. Patrick's Day. She's naming her little girl Kassidy. It was fun to see her big belly. Marcia made her the cutest bows and a little ribbin to hang all the bows on. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. If you have a little you need to get with Marcia. She is the master bow maker. She can make any kind of bow you want. Props to her.

Well, it was a fun weekend and it was great to spend it with my family. On a side note...tomorrow I have an interview with USN for admissions into pharmacy school. I'm super excited that I was invited to interview but a little nervous. I hope it goes well. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it goes!
